The Ridge is not a building, or a structure, not just a
body of good men and women. The Ridge is a community; a community of men and
women who have cast their lot with Jesus Christ; men and women who are united
in their fervent desire to "Love the Lord their God with all their heart,
all their soul, all their strength, and their entire mind... and to love their
neighbors as themselves" (Paraphrase Luke 10:27).
Our goal at The Ridge is to be a community of sincere
people committed to making the tough choices required to love God and people in
real and concrete ways; a people committed to bringing our whole selves before
God and becoming real people, developing real friendships, real relationships
and watch real community take place so that we can reach a lost and lonely
world.
We are located off Highway 89A at
8075 N. Prescott Ridge Road, one mile east of the Yapavai County Fair.
We formerly met at the Glassford Hill Middle School on Glassford Hill Road in
Prescott Valley and we called ourselves The Church at Glassford Hill. However
with our move in September, 2006 to a new facility located on Prescott Ridge Road,
it became apparent we needed a new name.
When we look at our surroundings here, and see the beautiful Mingus
mountain ridge to the east of us, we are reminded of Psalms 120:1-2 “I lift up
my eyes to the hills – where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the maker of
heaven and earth.” Thus, our new name,
The Ridge__a Christian Fellowship.
So, as you browse through this Web Site, it is our hope
that you will visit The Ridge and find in us a home where you can earnestly
search for His will and walk in his footsteps with other like-minded believers
as we serve Him together.
